This is about 15 minutes away. Worth checking out, or overpriced? I need an auto for the wife, haven't found anything interesting yet. A comic for your troubles.

Engine runds smooth
Well that's important

I'd be careful posting DC area cars I'm actually contemplating buying if I were you.
One of the herd might snatch it up.

I hate lumpy or rough runds!

Looks clean for 169K, but auto not very desirable imho. $4K nothing more..

It looks really nice and clean, but this is Oppo and since it has an auto: It's been hittin' that crack pipe.

Hah, true. I am actually looking at something else at present a bit further west...but this one caught my eye as a possibility since it's so close.

Hah, yeah. I would prefer a manual, but as my wife is letting me keep the GTI for now, I need to find her an auto to ferry kids around for her job (private nanny).

The spelling/grammar/everything about Craigslist never fails to entertain.
Also, apparently 99% of craigslist thinks the Cherokee Sport came with a 4.0L V6...

Hah, thanks for your love and support.
I need an auto for my wife; she's a nanny and doesn't want to deal with a manual and several kids at the same time. I'm working on that, but for now I just need a mildly interesting auto.

Sorry, must have glazed over that part (hadn't had my coffee yet). I'd say DP (decent price), see if the seller will move closer to a 4K price point.

Haha, thanks. I probably will; I'm hoping to look at another car tonight, but I'm definitely calling this guy on my lunch. Can't pass up a clean E30 only 15 minutes from home!

I'd say it looks decent, but 4900 is too much for that. The auto is a turn-off for most who still want e30s, it has the comfort vinyl seats (granted that those are longer-lasting than the leather), and it doesn't have any of the nice bits (m-tech parts, non-bottlecap wheels, etc).
I would say $4000 simply for rust-free and late model. I wouldn't buy it because automatic, but that's just my 2cents.
This is coming from a person who just bought an e30 about a month ago. There are better options for the money.

Just saw the "need auto for the wife" part. I'd say check it out in that case. Keep in mind that you should find out when the timing belt/water pump were last done, and if he doesn't know you will HAVE TO change them ASAP.

It was just a straightened out V...
Same thing, right?

Hah, absolutely!

Right; I creep around on bimmerforums a lot, and that seems to be the trend/consensus there as well, both re: pricing and parts that should be replaced immediately. Thanks!
